Ros brings to her work a practical approach towards healthcare improvement based on many years experience as an Executive Manager in the health industry. She has been a member of two aged care boards and is a sessional member of VCAT dealing with nursing professional disciplinary issues.
As an experienced surveyor and survey coordinator with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS); her survey experience ranges across public and private, community, rural, mental health and the prison sector across Australia. International work has included; Hong Kong, Bahrain, India and Saudi Arabia.
Much of Ros's work since 2011 has been related to the implementation and support of the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards developed by Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC). Ros has completed many gap analyses, mock audits and accreditation surveys against the NSQHS Standards. Ros is also an education presenter and workshop facilitator for the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS).
Consultancies have included implementation of quality and risk management systems, review and implementation of patient safety solutions, medication management systems, accreditation preparation, mentoring new managers, education and strategic planning workshops, nursing restructure, professional standards and special projects.
